Hello!
It’s been quite a long time since I’ve written a new entry. I’d love to I’ve been super busy or working out like crazy, but they would just be excuses! Truth is I’ve still been off the wagon and not doing well with my eating or exercising.
When I first decided to try losing weight with a calorie counting app it was so easy and exciting I looked forward to it because I knew that every Monday I’d weigh less than the week before. However after hitting 30 pounds lost and feeling so good about myself I started to slack and fall back into my old habits. It’s not like it’s very hard to do! So as of this morning I’m at 171.8lbs, which means I’m still down 13.6lbs from when I originally started my weight loss journey in February of 2010. But, that means I let myself gain back 16.4lbs before realizing I’m becoming unhappy again.
I’ve learned through this experience that losing weight is NOT about a diet and never will be. The sooner you realize that the better. It’s about making better choices when it comes to food and exercise. It’s not something you perfect over night or maybe ever for some people. You will always have slip ups and that’s all right as long as you know to get right back on track. I’m still trying to teach myself that.
So for this week I’ve decided I’m going to write my food and share some pictures of my food on here for you to see what I eat. I do not eat just fruits, veggies, and chicken. If that were the case I’d NEVER be able to lose weight because I’d be binging on other snacks later. I’m only human so I want to eat things that are bad for me and things that are good for me.

Today looks like quite a bit of food and it is! I’m just getting myself back on track with counting calories so I can’t just shoot down to 1200 calories a day or I’d feel like I was starving and go off track. I will work my way down to 1200 a day within a week or so.
